The CAB Office
Back to China photo page

The CAB office is the location where we were able to get Lexi.  One of the other families in our group also received their baby at this office.

On Monday, July 2 we arrived at the CAB office and got off the bus.
Xixi, our guide, asked us to wait outside for a few minutes while she spoke to someone inside.

At long last, it was time to go in.
This picture was taken as soon as the orphanage director walked into the waiting room and we saw Lexi for the first time with our own eyes.

Cathy and tired Lexi.
This sign was hanging in the waiting room at the CAB.  We had a few office visits at the CAB where we completed various pieces of paperwork.  In between the office visits we waited in this room.

Here is a picture of one of the other newly acquainted "mother and daughter" pairs from our group.  Lexi and this baby came from the same orphanage.

This woman was Lexi's caretaker at the orphanage.

Here's a picture of one of the other babies and her dad from our group.
Many people have asked me what a pit toilet looks like.  Here you go.   I took this picture at the CAB office.
