While we were in China we took a side trip to Guilin. The country side surrounding Guilin is very pretty. The country side is very lush with bamboo and haystack vegetation covered mountains. We took a river boat cruise down the Li river.

We saw several buses like this in China. These are sleeper buses. Chinese people who wanted to travel long distances for a small amount of money would travel this way. Our guide said these people might be on this bus for a month to travel from one area of China to another. |

As we left Guilin on our way to the airport one of the people in our group wanted a picture of herself standing next to a water buffalo. We stopped by the side of the road to take pictures of these animals. |
